I get to the screen where I can choose which 1099's to download and only INT and DIV show, not the 1099-B (sales). I need to download the sales.
It's not giving me the option for sales, only interest and dividends. Do you have any idea why?
I have the same problem. There are check boxes but not for the 1099-B, only for 1099-INT and 1099-DIV for the 3 different accounts that I have.
If you are using TurboTax Online, try importing using a different browser.
If you use the Brave browser, you have to turn off the Brave Shields.
See the following TurboTax Help articles for potential fixes:
I had the same problem when using Brave. Just switching browser to capture the Schwab data resolved the problem.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. I wasted most of the day and well into the night trying to figure out why I could not import date from Schwab into Turbotax. I thought my Turbotax Deluxe program was somehow corrupted, so I decided to delete it and reinstall it. (Not an easy feat: the uninstaller would not work because it didn't like the application path, so I had to delete the directory and all files and then delete every reference I could rind in the registry. Then, and only then, was I able to reinstall the Turbotax Deluxe program.) Well, the data import still didn't work. I found out that other imports from other sites did work just fine, so I determined that the problem was not with Turbotax but with Schwab. I called over to Schwab but the rep was totally unable to help. I searched online and found nothing. I searched youtube and found nothing. Then I logged into the Intuit community and found your comment that the entire problem was the Brave Browser (which I was using). You had great info on how to disable some of its security features, but I just changed my default browser to Chrome, and voilà, the import worked perfectly! I would have been nice if either Turbotax or Schwab were to advise, prominently, "Don't use the Brave Browser!" Thank you for your post. Without that one piece of information, I'd still be wasting time barking up the wrong tree.
This worked for me (Brave user). Thanks for taking the time to write the solution.
I had a strange issue trying to import from Charles Schwab. I clicked on institution name from the drop down menu but none of the buttons (Continue, etc.) worked. Finally, I double-clicked on name and it immediately brought me to the sign-in process.
I'm not used to double-clicking a name in a menu list, but in this case it may be worth a try.
That's not what's happening. I just keep going in a loop; it says the data is there, but it isn't.
I use Brave for reasons of not sending any of my data voluntarily to anyone. However, even the shields were disabled I could not get Schwab 1099s into TT. So, for this and !only for this instance! I set Edge to be my default browser and was able to download data.
Immediately, I went back to Brave as default browser and will reboot after finishing this post.
I hope this helps someone.
Schwab stated that the tax forms would be available on Feb 28. As of now (today) I can get the pdf file for the 1099-DIV and 1099-B, but unable to download into Turbotax, Will see what happens on Feb 28(?)
Dear Miss/Sir,
I am trying to download the information from Schwab and Turbo tax will not let me download. Turbo tax requires a 9 digit account but Schwab has only 8 digits. Secondly Turbo tax require a document number and Schwab only has a ID number. Again the digits do not match.
I had no trouble in downloading the TD Ameritrade data also from Schwab.
Please could you help me.
Thanks
I use the "connect direct to financial institution" option. If you already have an online account with Schwab, then in Turbotax, you can import your data by choosing that option. Once you select Schwab as your financial institution you will log into Intuit. Then a web page will open leading you through logging into Schwab. You will have to confirm acceptance of sharing your data this way. Then, behind the scenes your 1099 data will be download to Turbotax. When done you will notified that is okay to return to TurboTax. Once there, there is one last "Import" button at the bottom of the screen. When that finishes TurboTax will be populated with your brokerage 1099 data.
I hope I understood your question, and the answer makes sense.
This worked for me. Was having the same issue with using Brave Browser in 2025
