Get your taxes done using TurboTax

I use the "connect direct to financial institution" option.  If you already have an online account with Schwab, then in Turbotax, you can import your data by choosing that option.  Once you select Schwab as your financial institution you will log into Intuit.  Then a web page will open leading you through logging into Schwab.  You will have to confirm acceptance of sharing your data this way.  Then, behind the scenes your 1099 data will be download to Turbotax.  When done you will notified that is okay to return to TurboTax.  Once there, there is one last "Import" button at the bottom of the screen.  When that finishes TurboTax will be populated with your brokerage 1099 data.

I hope I understood your question, and the answer makes sense.
