Four days ago TT posted "You can prepare and print or e-file up to 5 of your own federal and state tax returns with TurboTax Desktop." https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/license-information/install-turbotax-cd-...
This says "your own". Does that mean I will no longer be able to prepare a return for myself and another return for my parents? I've been able to do that in prior years.
EDIT: To be clear, I'm asking about the 2023 tax year. It appears the "your own" language is new and wasn't used in prior years.

Yes, you can prepare up to 5 returns as you did in the past. No change.
Yes, of course you can use your desktop software to prepare a 2022 return for your parents. You will not, however, be able to e-file those returns. E-filing is closed now for 2022 returns if you are using the desktop software. Any returns you prepare using desktop software for the 2022 tax year now have to be filed by mail. If you really are asking about using the 2023 software next year to prepare multiple returns---yes, you can prepare and e-file up to five federal returns for yourselves or other family members, etc.
"Yes, of course you can use your desktop software to prepare a 2022 return for your parents." 2022 is already done. I'd like to understand TT for the 2023 tax year. I'll edit the OP to make this clear.
There is no difference for the upcoming 2023 tax year as far as the "rules" for using the CD/download software. You have always been able to use that software to prepare multiple returns for your own family, family friends, etc. You can e-file up to five federal returns. Five e-files is the IRS limit; you can use the software to prepare more than five federal returns but the "extra" ones have to be filed by mail. You might be trying to take the "your own" verbiage too literally----you just are not allowed under the terms of service to use TurboTax to prepare returns for others and get paid for it.
