Apology up front

I'm sorry but I'm furious.

I completed my taxes, printed same and thought I was done. Walked away for a couple hours and came back to see that I had not actually e-filed my return. No problem. Click, click... error! Unable to submit, "update required".

I cannot find an update anywhere. I went out and came back in because somewhere I saw coming back in would  install any updates. Keep in mind I already paid my $26.69 to file state (that I thought was included).

Coming back in I figured I'd just import my already completed file. NOPE!!!! No where to be found. Had to start all over again including multiple contribution inputs.

Two hours later (very angry hours) I finish and pay my $26.69 AGAIN only to get the same error message because no update installed.

I had to take a break. Maybe after a few days I'll try to call someone and be placed on hold for hours I'm sure. I've used Turbotax for 4 years now and never had anywhere near this kind of a problem.

Suggestions? How to get an update? How to file on time? How to get a refund? And now I'll have to pay a third time once I figure out how to get this filed.

Please reach out to TurboTax Customer Support to request a refund for the extra state fee you paid. Use the keywords billing issues so you get to the right person.
