Your stimulus payment did not get sent to TurboTax. It comes directly from the IRS through either direct deposit, a check or TurboTax Card. TurboTax does not keep your money.
As of today, according to the IRS, there was an error occurred on their end, where million payments were sent to the wrong accounts and some may not have received their portion. We have been working tirelessly on a solution with the Treasury and the IRS. As a result, our expectation now is that within days the error will be corrected and stimulus payments will begin being deposited into the correct bank accounts. We have also re-confirmed with the IRS that they have all of the correct banking information for our customers.

How can I check on my second stimulus payment
Yes. My second stimulus check was sent to "the tax preparer." This is what an IRS rep told me. Specifically it was sent to routing number: [removed] Acct #: [Removed] <-- last numbers are *your* SS number.
The rep said that typically the tax preparer will then send it on to you. Maybe they sent a paper check and it got lost in the mail (?) I'm going to call Turbo Tax right now and find out.
The IRS rep said when processing stimulus checks that are tax credits (stimulus checks #1 and #2) they typically get two places to send the money to: The tax preparer and the individual. They try to do it right and send it to the individual, but sometimes it messes up and is sent to the tax preparer.
Actually it *can* happen and did for me. See my post please.

Never heard of that!!
TurboTax is NOT a tax preparer.
TurboTax is a software copy that provided tax preparation software for a do-it-yourself tax return.
Your tax return is Self-Prepared.
