I have used the platform for 10+ years and when I logged today 12/21/2021, none of my information from last year has transferred for me to start working on 2022. I have used the same log in for years so this isn't the problem. The idea of having to re-enter everything is daunting considering we itemize and have 2 businesses. Anyone else?
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
First the 2020 info (not 21) is being transferred into the 2021 program (not 2022).
Then if you logged in and did NOT see the prior year info then you are not in the right account.
Close all TurboTax windows on your web browser (including this one). Copy and paste the account recovery website link onto a new web browser window and run the tool.
Use this TurboTax account recovery website to get a list of all the user ID's for an email address. Run the tool against any email addresses you may have used - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/account-recovery
If none of the user ID's received will access your 2020 account, then use the option shown in blue on the account recovery website, "Try something else"
As I mentioned, when I log in I can see filed returns starting at 2020 going back to 2011. This is the only username I've ever used and last year's return is there, filed and accepted by Fed and State. With this being true, all my info from last year should be populated for me.
Clearly, there's something different going on that what you suggest. Anyone else have any insight?
