When you are entering home office expenses, do you use the total year's amount or a monthly amount?

For the regular method of claiming the Home Office Deduction, you enter the expense totals, for each category, for the year. 

Another way to claim the Home Office Deduction is by taking the Simplified Option for Home Office Deduction - IRS.gov
