I've already filed my 2020 tax return, and I claimed my daughter as a dependent. Now I'm trying to file her taxes using turbo tax, and it's automatically factoring the standard deduction for her, but she isn't allowed that deduction because I claimed her. How do I "work around" the program to disallow that strandard deduction on her return?

Dependents now get the same Standard Deduction or a lower amount depending on their income.
The Standard Deduction for an individual for whom an exemption can be claimed on another person's tax return is limited to the greater of:
…..$1,100 or
…..Your earned income for the year + $350 (but not more than 12,400)
So you would get a minimum of $1,100.
See the 1040 worksheet on page 32

Go to My Info and see how the question was answered when it asked if she can be claimed as someone else's dependent for 2020. Make sure the answer is YES she can be claimed.
Thank you so much for your help!
