Section 179 deduction. Purchased vehicle, whose stated weight (on the door) is 6,000 pounds. Is this considered light truck (under 6,000) or heavy truck (over 6,000)?

Seems like an issue on Section 179 for business vehicles.   Light trucks are considered less than 6,000 pounds.  (heavy) Trucks are considered over 6,000 pounds. What is the vehicle is exactly 6,000 pounds (which is what the sticker on the door says?  I'm planning on being conservative and going with light truck, so as not to inadvertently get audited.

If the unloaded Gross Vehicle Weight is 6000 pounds or less, it would be classified as the 'light' truck.
