Re: Section 179 deduction. Purchased vehicle, whose stated weight (on the door) is 6,000 pounds. Is this considered light truck (under 6,000) or heavy truck (over 6,000)?

If the unloaded Gross Vehicle Weight is 6000 pounds or less, it would be classified as the 'light' truck.
