I’ve deleted form 2441 and it’s still asking for all the information. I see it’s a huge problem. Can we get some coding fixes?

Did you use the procedure as shown in this TurboTax support FAQ to delete the Form 2441 - https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/accessing/help/how-do-i-delete-form-2441-in-turbotax-online/01/264...
Yes. The “fix” has you deleting the form. That’s why I mentioned that I had already deleted the form. The fix doesn’t work.

I already did that as well. I spoke to them for an hour and still no joy. She had never heard of the problem, but there’s a plethora of people here who have the same issue. I was hoping I’d find something other than a copy/paste.

What program are you using? The TurboTax online web-based editions or the TurboTax desktop software? If the software is it Windows or Mac?
I’m using web based on chrome, as well as the iOS app.

Then since you are using the TurboTax online editions, there is no reason for the procedure in the TurboTax support FAQ not to work. It has been used for years to remove the form 2441and in the 10 years I have been volunteering on the TurboTax forums, yours is the first where the procedure did not work.
You may not like this but it should get rid of this problem. Clear your tax return and start over.
If you have not paid for the online edition you are using, have not filed your tax return or registered the Free edition, then you can clear your return and start over. Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the program screen while working on the 2020 online tax return. Click on Clear & Start Over.
I already paid and can’t start over. The program won’t let me.
Consider me your 1st. Following the link you provided, I can’t even accomplish step 2. That screen supposed to appear after the search does not appear for me. I can’t mess that up. The instruction says what to search for. Only I don’t get the same screen.
I can delete the form at any time. It just shows back up on it’s own, every time. No need to reply if you don’t want. Nothing against you, but you can’t fix it.
@Beefstu1 Ok...then you need to get a refund for what you paid since the program will not let you delete the form.

I did that too, sort of. They won’t refund. They gave me a download credit. So now I can’t do it on anything but my actual Mac.
good lookin out
LOOK at your W-2 ... do you have an amount in box 10 ? If you do then you must complete the form 2441 section to indicate the amount was either used or forfeited.
Thx for the tip. Nothing in box 10
Hey there,
I am having the same exact issues. Did you ever find a fix?
I can't delete, or start over, no amount in box 10 of wages. I would love some help or advise.
Thanks!
I had a multi hour long call with support. It was a ton of troubleshooting and unfortunately I can’t remember what was done. I do remember reverting a selection that made no sense, but ultimately made everything correct.
We did a screen share and the advisor told me what to change, etc.
