I've already done the restart your computer whoha. I purchased TT23 in November and downloaded the Illinois return as my one free state download. I click on the State Taxes tab and get the following screen.
I click on the Start button expecting to get pages to answer questions and enter data. There is a popup window to save the return and then I get this page instead.
This is the same screen that pops up when you click on the Get Another State button. My hypothesis is that the Start button is pointing to the wrong place.

Sorry--in reality the state software and the state forms are not really ready to use. Wait and check back in January.

yes, I'm experiencing the same snafu, with Illinois State....I'm glad to know that it will be rectified in January 2024.
I need to estimate how much of a bonus to take now along with how much state income tax to withhold. I can't wait until January 2024. Is this another Illinois issue that is crazy?
Currently the Illinois return is not available. The tentative date is 1/21/2024. you think you installed it because the stupid program doesn't warn you it's not ready.
As of today early 1/23/2024 early AM Illinois forms are still not available.
This TT web site says availability was due on January 18.
https://care-cdn.prodsupportsite.a.intuit.com/forms-availability/turbotax_il_windows_individual.html
On this site it says Online and MAC are ready but Windows shows same date as the other site.
On this site make sure you use the drop down to change OS/Online, Return Type and Agency.
Any new info would be appreciated.
Yes, I know no one is accepting returns yet.
Thanks
