Please follow the instructions below:
My father owned a property that he was selling in a seller financed mortgage (land contract) to another person.
He has since died, so I am using TurboTax Business to complete the Estate taxes. The general instructions for reporting the interest income in other TurboTax programs is:
Federal TAxes
WAges & INcome
INterest & Dividends
INterest from Seller financed mortgages
However, that is not an option in TurboTax Business. Please let me know where I can enter this information?
On a form 1041 there is no such designation ... just enter it as plain old interest that goes on line 10.
I don't see an entry for seller financed mortgage interest when I scroll down the wages and income list. I am using Turbo Premier. That was the answer from 2019. Has it changed in the the 2024 version.
