I agree! I've gone over this section multiple times and think there is a glitch in the Turbotax software that is causing it to say I'm not eligible for this deduction. I'm not sure what else to do.
Be sure that you are claiming standard mileage expenses for a vehicle which you own. If it is owned by someone else, then you are not eligible to use the standard mileage rate for your business miles. You must instead claim actual out-of-pocket expenses prorated by the business miles being claimed.
We definitely own the vehicle. In talking with Turbotax they are currently working to correct this problem with their software. It's still not fixed.

When the REALTOR® agrees to return part of a commission to the buyer or the seller, and this has been structured as a reduced commission or as a credit on the closing statement, the 1099 issued by the brokerage company should reflect only the net amounts paid to the REALTOR® and this amount will be reported as gross income. Yes, you're correct. If you received 1099-NEC and the broker deducted the commission as a result of a seller/buyers credit, you report the net income on your income tax return. On the other hand, If the amount received was the gross amount, deduct the amount of credit as business expense.
