Use these steps:
I walked through this process using TurboTax Online. It would not remove from the Income Summary unless you uncheck the box on the very first screen, after selecting edit.
Even if it does not remove it from the screen, if the amount showing is zero, it should not affect your filing,
You generally need to report the sale of your home on your tax return if you received a Form 1099-S or if you do not meet the requirements for excluding the gain on the sale of your home.

I have the same situation but am using Turbotax Premier (downloaded). The equivalent steps did not work. I selected 'Update' for 'Sale of a business', then selected the 'None of the above' checkbox (and unchecked everything else). I still see a $ amount near that line and get a Form 4797 that I cannot delete. Any advice?
When using the downloaded program simply switch to the FORMS mode to delete any form you need to remove. Be aware that you may need to remove the worksheet for the form to remove the form.
