Determining Age for Child and Other Dependents Tax Credit

My child turned 17 during 2022. For calculating the Child and Other Dependents Tax Credit, is it their age at the beginning of 2022 (16) or at the end of 2022 (17) that is used? 

It appears to be as of the end of the year.

It is the age of the child on the last day of the year 12/31/2022.
