we are married filing jointly. can I enter information on a single schedule 1 for both spouses or should I file separate schedule 1 for each spouse.

one spouse has business income to be entered on line 3 of schedule 1 (and schedule C and SE).

other spouse has other income from BOX 3 of I099-MISC to be entered on line 8 of schedule 1.

If you are "married, filing jointly", then you cannot have two Schedule 1s in the return.

If one spouse has business income, it gets reported on Schedule C and Schedule SE (not on Schedule 1).

the income from schedule C needs to be entered on line 3 of schedule 1 as well.

Why are you worried about Schedule 1?  It will be automatically filled out when you fill out the other schedules like Schedule C. Just enter the income and info for both of you.  Turbo Tax fills out all the right schedules and forms.

Before filing,  You can preview the 1040 or print the whole return
