Just loaded the fix, all the schedule B errors are gone -- return is ready for efile after all the auto checking.
And saved a return copy -- schedule B form is present in order as other forms.
I went that far too but the transmit step fails because the schedule b pdf is missing. Hopefully it's a quick fix.
I have the same problem is that it cannot efile because it cannot find the schedule B attachment when it tried to transmit
I think we are working today... I have not yet efiled but there are no errors. Do the update.
Uh oh
We can't e-file your return because we are unable to locate the attachment Form 1116 Schedule B . PDF... Uh oh.
Almost there. But when you hit "e-file" button it says you need to attach the Form 1116 Schedule B pdf. WE NEED INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO ADD THE PDF.
This is sickening! After all this wait and confusion and updates, now with today's update all errors are gone and I get to efile. But efile fails with the message: "We can't e-file your return because we are unable to locate the attachment at /attachment/Form1116ScheduleB.pdf. Please go back and re-attach it. Then try e-file again."
Where in the heck am I supposed to "go back" to? How am I supposed to attach or re-attach the Form1116ScheduleB.pdf file? This really looks like a Turbotax internal error. The darn Schedule B in question *is* actually generated by TT and *is* in the pdf that it produces if I print/save my return. Looks like someone just forgot to also save this form in the right directory for TT to transmit?
It looks like all users need to now complain again and call and send email to the president's office to put enough pressure on Turbotax to get their act together and fix this bug quickly.
@ErnieS0 this thread now has 25 pages of back and forth. Users were expecting a critical update today (3/11) for form 1116 Schedule B E-filers. Turbo tax did update but issues still not resolved (see error message below). Please move this to critical to resolve as users cannot e-file due to critical fails despite returns passing the no error check and reviews. Users were waiting on this resolution and are again disappointed.
Error message for reference that is newly encountered today on 3/11: We can't e-file your return because we are unable to locate the attachment at/attachment/Form1116ScheduleB.pdf. Please go back and re-attach it. Then try e-filing again.
The update just downloaded was released on 2/10/2022. Maybe we will have another update for correction for e-file. When I checked all my red marks on forms have disappeared. In the form section usually, one should have two PDF statements, 1 for Paid in US dollars and 2. one for Form 1116 Foreign Tax Credit line 10, Carry back/carry over. Both these statements are missing. However, when I checked IRS Forms release section it shows Tax return is ready for e-file. So, my conclusion is need further update by Intuit/TurboTax for correction of this problem.
As of this morning (3/11/2022), Form 1116 Schedule B is created. However I received an error when attempting to efile:
Same problem as others - Schedule B is complete, but TT doesn't automatically 'attach' the pdf.
Just got off the phone with a TT customer service 'expert' who was totally clueless. Promised to escalate and have someone call.
GRRRRRRRR
I was able to efile after verifying form 1116 and schedule B were in the printed file.
I never got any errors while attempting to efile, It still shows pending for federal acceptance but at least I did not get errors reported by others.
Is this furthur than anyone else got?
Well, I thought I had a solution- I figured out how to manually attach the 1116 Schedule B to my tax forms. But even with that, and confirming it appears in my PDF copy, I STILL have the error.
Getting the same "form missing" error message when trying to e-file as everyone else today (3/13/22)
Please fix this TurboTax!
