What should I enter for Line 6A -(wks)? I moved from IA to CA in July. I paid annual vehicle registration fee in IA on 11/2017 and in CA on 09/2018.

Only enter what you paid in 2018, your CA vehicle registration fee.

Thanks for the reply. However, I am being asked to enter this information while filling information for my IA tax return. It also say "This amount maybe different than the amount you entered for the federal return". Not really sure what that means and how can it be different.

it shouldn't be different, only deduct what you paid in 2018.

Thank you. Could you please confirm whether this information should be entered in IA tax return?

if you're itemizing deductions for IA, it's already figured into your federal adjusted gross income. If you're not itemizing deductions, then you're taking the standard deduction, and can't use it to lower your tax liability any further.  So the answer in both scenarios is you don't have to do anything extra, Turbo Tax has already done it.
