Every state has different rules. Since you're filling a 511NR I expect you live in a state that has no income tax and you worked in a state that does have income tax. This is indicating that something on the W-2 is not consistent between the federal and state taxes.
There are no special forms. TurboTax prepares them all for you.
Thank you for answering. I have checked and the info on my W2 is correct for both state and federal. Are the W2 and state forms supposed to be consistent? I am supposed to be filling in Line 17 - federal adjustments to income on the 511NR, but on the W2 Line 17 is State Income Tax so these forms are not alike. I did not live in one state and work in another, I just moved at the end of the year so I've had residency in two states. I don't if that helps at all.
The federal adjustments to income for Oklahoma would be the amounts that you did not earn while you were an Oklahoma resident for that part of the year. @artlr241
I earned money in Oklahoma from doing telehealth, but I did not live in Oklahoma at any time of the year so why is my income being adjusted to charge me additional taxes?
Were you physically present in Oklahoma when doing these telehealth calls? Did you receive a W-2 that had Oklahoma withholding? I need to understand how TurboTax knew about Oklahoma.
