I had the exact same issue with my SC tax direct deposit entry info with the desktop version of Deluxe that everyone else is reporting here. This is a clear and obvious bug in the TT software. Thanks so much to Oz01 for helping us trick the software into working. It's terrible that this bug has been known for 3 weeks or more and isn't fixed yet and requires all of us to waste our time looking for solutions to Intuit programming programs. I won't be recommending TT to anyone this year and I'll have to reconsider my tax software next year. Terrible job Intuit!
To add one more version of this problem, I am long-time TTax user and always the Desktop version on Windows. This year, I owe small amount on Fed and since we moved during 2021, I have both CA and SC returns. TTax did NOT bring over my bank information from 2020 and it has not changed. The CA return allowed me to enter the DD info at the right place on the file your return screens but the SC simply returns the "information missing" red letters. I also tried multiple times with no luck. I will try some of the other suggestions seen in this thread but the fact the CA worked and SC did not is likely an important point to allow the software guys to get this corrected. I am also hung up with the "two mortgage" problem on Schedule A you can find in other threads. I can honestly say I am losing faith in TTax if they don't get things fixed quickly. The Schedule A problem is unacceptable IMO, given this is very normal condition for many, many customers!

OK, by going into Federal Forms and then click on Info Wks along the top you can scroll down and enter your DD information (regardless whether you are getting a refund on your Fed return). Then I went back through the E-file process and the SC DD entry now worked! Very dumb...........
I had a similar twist to this issue with a different second state. I moved from SC to VA, so had to file in both states. Had the same issues others reported about TT not accepting my direct deposit info for SC (owe some federal tax and elected to send a check). It accepted dd bank info for VA just fine (had a refund there too). I used the work-around posted about going to the federal info wks page and manually entering the direct deposit info there. That worked great - I was then able to enter the dd info for the SC return. And even though I added the dd bank info on the federal wks info page, it still kept the option I had selected to send a check. Also, I had no trouble printing all three returns, including SC. So, this is clearly a SC state TT issue. It is disappointing, but I will say that the forums that TT provides do allow us to find the solution to issues, just as was the case here. Can't remember who originally posted the work-around in this thread, but THANK YOU.
I am filing Federal for my daughter on TT desk top and it will not take my direct deposit information. It shows the correct information on the worksheet but the filing form is still in red and there is no continue option.
Try deleting the information and entering it in manually. Ensure there are no spaces before or after you type the numbers.
This Turbo Tax FAQ will show you how to add or update your bank information.
Where do I enter my bank's routing or account number?

Thank you for your reply. No luck. I have been using Turbo Tax for ever so I don't think it's a user error. I try deleting on the Easy Step form and on the E-file form. I just cannot continue to the next page. So frustrating.
It would be best to follow the instructions here to contact us by phone so we can better assist you. @MESMith1
I am having the same problem. My direct deposit bank information did not transfer over from last year, and I can't find where to enter it in step-by-step. I entered it on the Federal form, but cannot enter it nor check the box for direct deposit on the SC form. I use the desktop version of TT.
@NancyP147 Are you familiar with the "Forms" Mode available in the Desktop software? Try the method offered (and chosen as the Best Solution) at the beginning of this thread. @Oz01 recommends using the Forms method to enter your direct deposit information.
Please post back if you still have trouble.
I had tried entering it in forms view yesterday, and was able to enter for Federal but not to check the box for taking my amount due by direct debit. I was not able to enter anything into the SC form. However, today I was able to do both. Maybe a matter of exiting and reentering the program after having made changes? I don't know.
@NancyP147 SO happy you were able to get it done! And I'm so sorry you've been inconvenienced at this stressful time of year.
This is still an issue with the SC 2022 state TT. Entering the data directly in the form works. The User Interface will not display the actual number if they have been changed. There can be additional characters in the field which don't display unless you look at the actual form "Info Worksheet" in the SC Forms list.
You are commenting on an older thread. To better assist you, are you using the online or desktop version? Also, are you having trouble entering on the federal or state? @Pbarto001
