I have a 1099R and am completing the IN state form, I get a window saying: Check this entry Sch IN-W: Col D-State Income must be entered.
What goes into the Col-D State Income box if I'm e-filing or is the note in the about IN_W page correct?
This is a screen shot of the software about page.
Schedule IN-W: Indiana Withholding Statements
This schedule is used to report Indiana state and local income tax withheld if you're filing Indiana return by paper.
Note: Form IN-W is for paper file only. If you e-file, ignore IN-W error messages.

Are you still experiencing this problem? It sounds like you must have a 1099R that has IN withholdings but doesn't have anything listed for the state distribution amount. I would review your 1099-R entry and make sure you have an amount entered for box 16. If there is no amount listed, enter the amount from box 1.
Make sure you have ran all updates.
