Finally was able to get an 'authorized' phone number to call Turbo Tax assistance [phone number removed]) with an ID number. THE CALL RINGS ONCE THEN CUTS YOU OFF! Looks like The help center simply does not want to talk to their users. I would imagine Turbo Tax wants an additional fee to speak to someone to address a problem with their software.
To Icecman: Send a message to GabiU - She has been helpful more than others. I'm praying for all of you..

To mslatinlady:
I just received an email from the CEO, Sasan Goodarzi, and the concern over the questionable "Pending status" has been escalated. Only took a week and a lot of frustration.
Turbo Tax help phone # is useless.
It's a robo that answers, and I found it impossible to actually talk to a help real person.
Hope they fix this soon!
@icecman Hi, thanks for providing the information. I am in the same situation as you except that it is for NY. I have emailed the office of president. Has the CEO, Sasan Goodarzi, say anything on how we can deal with this situation? This is super frustrating.... I don't know how much longer we have to wait.
To Icecman:
Keep me posted. I'm certainly sympathizing with all of you. This is a mess affecting hundreds, if not thousands, not only in California but many other states ! My prayer is that you and all others are able to finalize your tax returns and successfully efile to the state.
(P.S. Was your Federal return successfully efiled and did the IRS "Accept" your Federal return? I'm asking because my Federal was "Accepted" on Feb 11 and I got my refund on Feb 16. It was my state return (Calif) that was "Pending" for 2 weeks until I got the email from Turbotax that there was a software glitch in their software and only then was I able to go back into my California return, following their instructions to fix (actually, NOTHING had to be fixed, it just made me go through all the screens), then I continued to "efile" and then thank the Lord, it was sent to California and about 30 minutes later, the Calif FTB "Accepted" my return. I went to the Calif FTB that night to confirm they had received it, and thank God they had it.
If your Federal has already been Accepted by the IRS but your state is still pending, then an option for you is to file your state return directly on the State's website (in my case California). Once your return is "Accepted" by the state, then you're all done. Then, if TurboTax tries to efile your state return to California (or whatever state you're filing in), TurboTax's efile will be rejected (because of course your state has already Accepted your return), but that's OK because you've already filed directly on the state website.
Bottom line, this is a mess that Turbotax MUST fix for all those still suffering. Again, my prayers are with you all.
This was his reply...
Thank you for your email and I am sorry about your experience. I have copied the office of the president; an expert will be assigned to help you. I have also copied Greg, our Consumer Group General Manager, he will have his team look into your specific situation.
My faith is what got me through. This song came on just as I was efiling the second time. Thought I'd share it with you all:

My Federal return was accepted on the 2/13, but the IRS still doesn't show it as being received. I may just end up printing all four of my e-filed returns and mailing them. I think the old fashioned way just may be the best way.
Icecman:
What the Calif FTB told me to do if I mailed in a hardcopy was to write DUPLICATE on top of the return (so that if they DO receive the efiled one first, then the hardcopy second, they'd know that it was a duplicate and would reject my hardcopy - or vice versa if they receive the hardcopy first, then the efiled one afterwards). Plus they told me to make sure to mail it CERTIFIED MAIL so I could track it. I ended up not having to mail a hard copy because TurboTax did efile successfully to the state and the state accepted it.
My request for assistance has now landed in the President's office in Intuit. I will give them till Monday to get it resolved. If they do not I will follow with a mailed filing.
I didn't get any response until I contacted the CEO, Sasan Goodarzi. He is referring the problem to the appropriate people. Good luck!
The story gets even crazier !
Like I said, the IRS accepted my return on Feb 11. And I got my refund deposited into my bank on Feb 16.
Well, for the heck of it, right now I went to the IRS website to see my status and it says "We've received your tax return and it's being processed." Well, I HAVE ALREADY RECEIVED MY REFUND !
At the top of that page there's a notice that says: "Updates to Where's My Refund Status Delayed for Some." And then it goes on to say "The Where's My Refund App may show "Return Received" even if we've already issued your refund. Your refund will not be delayed. There's no need to call the IRS."
Crazy !!
Count yourself very fortunate. Filed my Federal and had it accepted, supposedly, on 2/13, but the IRS still doesn't show it being received as of today. This was the first and LAST year I will be e-filing.
I completed my return on Feb 2 and my state also, the state was filed (I think)but my federal was not and I cannot make and changed to it now.
