Why is my return still pending? (updated 3-16-21)

Filed 2/11/2021 2/12/2021 sent 2/13/2021 Accepted. Status still processing after bar disappeared.  Also did not receive stimulus money on this 3rd round for my 3 kids. 

Ugh.

@Blueness82 Many American's will not have received the third stimulus payment yet. They just started distributing payments. You can learn how the third stimulus will affect you by clicking here.

My still showing pending as well. I file my on 2/12. So hard to get a live person on the phone and I already paid my service ahead of time. T

Same issue. "Still being processed" is all I can see. Also, still no bars are displayed. Was accepted on the 17th of last month. No information available.

I just saw a report on the news tonight.  It said that the IRS is taking longer than usual (3 times longer than last year) to process Federal returns due to 14% less staffing due to Covid 19, and that many of the IRS employees are devoting their time to processing the stimulus payments that started getting deposited into millions of Americans' accounts this week.  Anyway, just wanted to pass this on.  Blessings....

I am not from New Mexico I am from Arizona and my both federal and state still say pending but I got a letter that my state return is going to be given to one of the debts I owe so how is it still pending?? And I have not heard anything about my federal but it says accepted so I'm so confused

Your best bet is to check the status of your return  through the IRS website using your IRS Online Account.  It sounds like the letter you got may not be legitimate, but anything like that would be recorded on your account.

Online Account is an online system that allows you to securely access your individual account information.  You can view:

• The amount you owe, updated for the current calendar day
• Your balance details by year
• Your payment history and any scheduled or pending payments
• Key information from your most recent tax return
• Payment plan details, if you have one
• Digital copies of select notices from the IRS
• Your Economic Impact Payments (EIP 1 and EIP 2), if any

You can also:

• Make a payment online
• See payment plan options and request a plan via Online Payment Agreement
• Access your tax records via Get Transcript
