TurboTax thinks we deferred social security (taxes) - not even seeing where this is coming from. Wants to issue a W2c. Nothing has been deferred. We always max out.

Y'all can ignore it.  As long as you review what is in boxes 3 & 4 of your "software" W-2 form  to ensure that both values are correctly entered from what is shown on your real W-2....then it is just a "known" software calculation issue......One TTX rep said it is supposed to be fixed by next week  (when?  check again on Friday, sometimes these things are more complex than they realize at first).

But even if they don't get it fixed perfectly, if you read the notice...you can still e-file As-Is.   It us unlikely you will ever get a W-2c if box 4 is 6.2% of box 3 on your real W-2.
