Turbo tax filed wrong state for military spouse

My husband is military and his home state is Florida. I also put this when filing and had to print out FL tax form to mail, but turbo tax has put his income as Georgia taxable income. I was living in Georgia at the time but he wasn't! Now I owe GA $5,500!! How do I get turbo tax to correct this. I put in all correct information. I need help as soon as possible please.

TurboTax will create a joint Georgia return if you file a joint federal return. Georgia allows you to file separate. If you want to file a separate state return, you will have to create a "dummy" tax return for yourself.

As ErnieS0 mentions you will need a "dummy" federal return as married filing separate (MFS) with only your information.  You can do that by creating another separate online account or by using a download/CD desktop version which allows you to create up to five returns.

Once you have that federal MFS return created with GA as your state, you can then complete the GA state return.  At the end of the GA interview you will be asked if you need to file an amended GA return.  You will answer "yes" and follow the prompts to make this an amendment to your previously filed GA MFJ return. You will be asked for information from that original return so be sure you have a copy handy.
