All TurboTax fees increased on March 1.

The $20 e-file fee for a desktop state tax return was discounted for early filing.  The state e-file fee increased to $25 on March 1.  This change in rates happens every tax year on March 1.

To avoid this fee you can print and mail the state tax return instead of e-filing.

They should be putting out a program update today on Thursday 3/2 which should update the price shown when you pay.

Interesting, thanks. Turbo Tax did an automatic update an hour ago when I signed it and it still showed $20. Maybe it was an update after that. Thanks.
