After completing the returns, I see that e-filing is not available and I must mail in the return or file later (which I have chosen). This is a simple return with only Schedules B, D, and X. Last year e-filed MA return with Turbotax.
Will e-filing be available to me later? If not, I feel cheated.

I saw your token and went straight to the e-file section and found the program does not want to file both the state and the extension at the same time. Mark to file the extension later (actually never) to get through the program.
I see the Form M-4868 in your forms list. if you want to deal with it, your options are:
It is showing that MA forms are available now. See the following for Online:

Thank you for taking the trouble to respond.
However, the problem is that when I finished the MA return, the screen gave me only two options: mail return and file later.
e-filing showed as available in the Massachusetts forms availability page.
So if you have any guidance on why I can't e-file, I'd appreciate it. Thanks again.
Did you file a Federal return, & was it accepted? Are filing a State return with a Federal or by itself? You cannot e-file a State return until your Federal return has been accepted.
You can e-file a State return with a Federal, or if you already e-filed a Federal return, the Federal return must be accepted to e-file a State return after Federal.
Or, did you mail in your Federal return? If you did, you would need to mail in your MA return.
If none of this helps, you might want to contact TurboTax support about this. You can contact support, see the following:
Get in contact by leaving a message with our TurboTax or QuickBooks support team or chat with our Mint support team. In addition, the support page provides other resource links to other Intuit products. Finally, our customer support phone number is 1-800-4INTUIT (1-800-446-8848).
Thanks again for taking the time to help me w/ my inability to e-file a MA return.
I have e-filed my 1040 and it has been accepted.
I called the number you left, went through the voice prompts and the call ended when they did not recognize me.
I then tried a question w/ the chat bot and actually got some fairly detailed instructions, albeit for changing your filing from mail to e-file. Went through these instructions and after selecting the "start" button, still got the two choices for e-filing my MA return: mail and file later.
I got a menu from the chat bot and asked for a call back. Was told a call would be in 14 minutes. It is now 36 minutes, and I doubt one will come through.
Any further help will be appreciated.
Let me see if I can get one of the TurboTax Moderators to help.
@vrtoo I just send a PM to one of the Moderators and the link to this post. Hopefully, they can help you.
Thanks for your continued efforts to assist.
The chat bot I mentioned yesterday said I would get a call back on my landline, [phone number removed]. Unbenounced to me the call back came to my mobile which I did not have w/ me. I would be happy to make myself available for a call on the landline if someone would schedule a date and time.
Also, and could this be relevant to my problem of not having an option to e-file MA tax? Somewhere toward the end of the federal filing process, there was a page authorizing Turbo-tax to provide information to others. I did not check off that I agreed to this; if this is the cause of the problem, can my refusal be undone?
Thanks again.
I am sorry you are having so much trouble. The Moderators are not available on weekends, so I am hoping that they will contact you in the beginning of next week. I am not sure if that question would stop you e-filing your MA return, but you can try going through the file section & see if the question comes up again. Also, make sure you are only e-filing the State return & the Federal return is unchecked so it also will not get e-filed.
We can't schedule call backs for you, but maybe try again & maybe you can get an exact time they will call you. In the meantime, I will keep looking for answers to help you.
Thanks; I will try your suggestion again tomorrow. Hope to hear from a Moderator this week, not today.
Thank you. I wish there were others like you that I could talk to, rather than chat bot and automated voice mail. I tried your suggestion. No change. Still don't have MA e-file option.
Also got on another chat bot to arrange a call back after it's suggestions were no help. Despite the call scheduled to come in on land-line, it went to the mobile and I missed it. I called that number back and got a series of recorded messages which sent me links to different situations, which I don't have.
I would really appreciate a call back, [phone number removed]; failing this, I will never use Turbotax again.
I am so sorry. I am just a regular user helping others to get through taxes. I don't work for TurboTax. I did send an email to one of the Moderators asking to help you or anyone that would help but I guess they never helped you in this post. Again, I am sorry for the trouble you are having.
@Anonymous_ can you bring this post to the lounge so maybe someone can help. Thanks
Got it
