Is WV Form IT-140 not ready for use yet?

Just a heads up, H&R Block has their 8915-E online now. And they aren’t showing the issue with the WV IT-140. I’m not getting any errors at all with them.

Thanks for the info might have to file state with them.  After this year and all the issues I've had Ruth TurboTax I may not be using their software going forward.  This year has by far been the worst experience with their software I've used it for like 15 years.  Sad but it's seemed to definitely have went down hill.

So I spoke to a local WV tax lady and she said that they don’t have access to the WV IT-140 yet either. Was you able to file with H&R?

I went ahead and filed federal and paid for the state so when they get it fixed its just a couple clicks to efile. When you go to check out, hit the file by mail button and it will take you to a page that you can change how you file. I hit efile on federal and not ready yet on state. This way I didn't have to erase my state. Its ready when turbo tax and wv is.

I did same for federal.  State still waiting to be fixed for my uncle's return.  For mine state didn't have this issue to my knowledge but I did call wv and they said there's an issue but can't tell me what until processed.  Federal jacked up on the desktop software and changed my stimulus amounts to incorrect amounts when I entered the correct ones.  Turbo tax this year has been complete garbage.  Now I have to wait until 1040X is available and amend my federal.  I may end up doing away with turbo tax completely after this year's experience.  Worst experience with the software in 15 years.  I may end up moving to freetaxusa I've used it to help a few other people and it works great, it's free, and costs half the cost to e-file wv state returns.  Plus you don't have to pay for the software like turbotax.  I have always swore by turbotax until this year.  I've had so many issues this year I'll definitely consider changing next tax season honestly.

H&R Block isn’t any better than TurboTax lol. I entered all my info in, paid to E-File, and after they took my money said that I wasn’t eligible to e-file. Every rep I talked to said I was, in fact, eligible to e-file, but none could find a reason it was giving me that error. They wouldn’t refund me or really help the situation at all. So, I came back to TurboTax, deleted my WV return and e-filed my federal return. I guess I’ll just use the WV return I got from H&R Block and mail it in. Sucks to do it that way, but it’s better than wasting the $71 I spent on H&R Block’s “services”.

Would you please clarify your question. Are you unable to just e-file the state income tax return. If so please see this article: Why am I not able to e-file my state return after filing my Federal return?

Does the product patch described in your link (scheduled for release March 19th) address the original issue in this thread as well - that Turbo Tax throws an error preventing state filing during the error check because a form isn't ready?

While that page indicates the form is available, the program still indicates that it is waiting on an update. Please see the screenshot... I'm on the latest version, MacOS.

WV Form IT-140 is giving you an error message, you may need to clear your cache.

Your browser stores recently visited webpages as temporary files in a cache, which enables the pages to load more quickly when revisited.

However, a full or corrupted cache can cause problems in TurboTax, so sometimes you need to clear your cache (that is, remove these temporary files).

Apple's official support site doesn't appear to contain instructions for clearing the cache in Safari. Your best bet is to search the Internet for clear Safari cache or similar search terms.

If your cache isn't the issue, it might be best to wait a day or two and check back again, or you can print and mail them.  Here is a link to the Department of Revenue.
