Our Indiana State E-File return was rejected with an error message per TurboTax Email - INGEN-007-02 - The county rate that you are using is not correct based on the county(ies) where the taxpayer(s) reside/work. Used the link that they provided to check the county rate and TurboTax had the wrong rate for our county.
Apparently, TurboTax used the incorrect county tax for Johnson County Indiana as .0140 when it should be .0125. Went back to TurboTax to correct and it didn't provide any way to correct through the program. Call TurboTax and they said that there was going to be an update on Thursday and that we would have to re-efile our return. Will wait to see. Pretty bad that TurboTax doesn't have the right rates in their program from the beginning.

Yes, it is.
The people who file early find all the bugs.
Never file before mid-February....let others find all the mistakes & bugs.
(Of course, if everyone did that then all those bugs would never be found until mid-February, so thank the early folks for their service.)
There was an update for Indiana today. Please run through the state interview and try to e-file again.
We received the Indiana update on our TurboTax Desktop and our Indiana return figures changed to show the correct county tax, however, TurboTax program will NOT let us re e-file the state return. TurboTax states that the state return has already been transmitted and therefore have no return to e-file again. Call TurboTax customer service today after the update and they could not help to refile the state return. When checking through Indiana return on the program as you suggested and we check e-file status - the state return says "pending" (the same as it was when the return was originally submitted and then notified via email from TurboTax that it was rejected, our only option given on the program was to exit TurboTax and thus no way to re e-file or fix our return. Customer service person thought that the correct state return would be automatically re-transmitted to state by TurboTax and told us to wait a couple of days for an update, but we have received no confirmation that the corrected state return was re-transmitted by TurboTax directly since we are unable to do so through our TurboTax program or that the state return was accepted. I can't re-e-file the state on my program. Clarification on resolving this issue is needed.
We received the update for Indiana and it has updated our Indiana refund amount, but TurboTax will not let us re-file again. When we check the e-file status it says pending like it has when the return was rejected - no change to status. TurboTax only says to exit. Contacted TurboTax customer service last week and they said they thought the corrected state return MAY have been submitted by TurboTax but we have received no verification of that from the state or TurboTax that our Indiana state return has been accepted. Customer Service tried to help us re-file but the program would not allow it. We need assistance to re-file - Any suggestions.
