You will enter your rent expenses for the renter's rebate on your state tax return. Turbo Tax will guide you to the spot where you can claim it, during the state interview. Not all states have a renter's rebate, so you may not be prompted to enter these expenses.

@Myagravis You have added on to someone else's thread that is already full of add-on posts.  We have no idea what state you are seeking a rent rebate for since you did not name your state.  We cannot help unless you can be more specific about your issue.  It would be better to start your own new thread instead of tacking on to an old one populated by so many other possibly unrelated questions
