Hi,
TT is recommending a standard deduction for my Fed return - which makes the most sense for me. However, because it's recommending the standard deduction, TT states I don't need to enter property taxes paid - which are fairly modest. As such, on my New Jersey state return will I have a chance to enter property taxes (which I understand I can deduct up to a certain level) given those taxes wont be itemized and hence can't copied across from my Fed return by TT? Thanks Richard

Yes. There is a place to enter property taxes in the New Jersey section. You can enter property taxes in Deductions & Credits (even if you are claiming the standard deduction). TurboTax will transfer for property tax entry to New Jersey.
In NJ, you will see
Thank you! Very clear. Richard
