why does Mississipi not show my tax filing?

It may have not been e-filed. To check what was sent, download the 2020 tax return PDF.

To get your 2020 Form 1040 download, from the left menu, select Tax Home. Then, follow these steps:

• Scroll down to Your tax returns & documents and Show.
• Navigate to the option to download the PDF of your return.
  • The forms are named in the top left and lower right hand corners of each page.

If the Mississippi return is not included in the PDF, then it has not been submitted. It can still be e-filed.

Federal and state refunds come from completely separate entities,  There is no rule as to which one will come first or how much time there will be between their arrivals.
