Federal and state refunds come from completely separate entities,  There is no rule as to which one will come first or how much time there will be between their arrivals.

STATE RETURN

Make sure your state return was accepted:  https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/

@mydaughter21

The NC DOR hasn't actually started processing anyone's refunds....even though they have received a ton of files already.

Though I expect that they will be starting sometime in the first or second week in March, there is likely a huge backlog.

I would Guess you'll get your state refund by the end of March...if they find no problems with what you've filed.
