You didn't see the page to enter the amounts you got? Maybe you haven't gone far enough yet.
When you go through the federal review tab it will ask how much you got if any. Or to enter your stimulus payment in TurboTax, type "stimulus" (without the quotes) in the Search box, then click the link that says "Jump to stimulus."
After you have entered your tax information and are ready for the Federal Review, it will be the first question.
If you are trying to trigger it, you can go to Other Situations, answer any questions and click Done. The next automatic selection is Federal Review and it will ask about payments received.

Since I gave no response due to not seeing these questions, I am not clear why turbo tax populated the 1040 line 30 with info that would have required data from me. The logic appears to be no response is a response. I would have preferred it require a response especially when the end result is requesting an additional 1800 refund based upon the false assumption i did not receive my prior stimulus checks. Because I did not answer or even see any questions about this subject, it becomes a false assumption on Turbo taxes software. A non response should not be accepted as a response.
I think Turbo Tax starts out by giving you the full amount for both. You have to see the screen to put in the amounts you got. If you didn't get that screen call support.

I did not see any screen asking any questions about receiving or not receiving COVID checks.
i assume the screen I did not see nor filled out is displayed only after answering a generic question about receiving government checks which in prior years would be about monthly checks. I would have answered no to this question not knowing this also included the COVID stimulus checks. Because the COVID stimulus checks were extraordinary any questions about COVID checks should not be dependent upon answering yes to a generic question about government income. The TurboTax GUI caused the software to erroneously populate my 1040 with false info because the software made the mistake of no response to a question is considered data as I never answered any questions about receiving or not receiving any COVID income. I feel this is a mistake on Turbo Taxes software and it caused my 1040 to be filled out incorrectly.

If you didn't get one or both enter a 0 and not leave it blank or it won't calculate it.

For some reason, this screen never came up. The software failed to ask questions about the COVID stimulus checks and caused wrong info to appear on the 1040 line 30 because the logic assumed no answer was an answer. it put 1800 on line 30 on the 1040.
I was never asked if I'd received any of the payments. So it put in the full $3600 for husband and wife for the first two payments. But we DID receive the first $2400. Now my refund is delayed. This sucks that TurboTax is messing this up.
If you have e-filed your 2020 Federal tax return and the tax return is accepted by the IRS, the IRS will likely adjust your refund to allow for you already receiving the $2,400 stimulus payment.
In TurboTax Online, you are prompted to input stimulus check 1 and stimulus check 2 information under Review down the left hand side of the screen. You may also access your stimulus check choices by following these steps:
TurboTax will compare your two payment amounts to the computation within TurboTax. The computations within TurboTax are based upon the information that has been entered into the tax software. If you are due an additional amount, it will be issued as a Rebate Recovery Credit (RRC) on line 30 of the 2020 1040 tax return.
