The 1099-COMP may contain information on a variety of forms. The most extensive reporting will probably be on a 1099-B. If you have a 1099-B with a lot of sales, it will probably be easier to import it if your broker is supported.

To import your information from the 1099-B:

  1. Search for1099-B, and select the Jump to link in the search results. Alternatively, go to the Federal > Wages and Income > Investment Income > Stocks, Cryptocurrency, Mutual Funds, Bonds, Other (1099-B) and click Start/Revisit
  2. Select Stocks, Bonds, Mutual Funds
  3. Hit Continue and search for your broker. Follow the instructions to import your form.

The import should also contain the data from the other forms on your 1099-COMP. If you would like to enter them manually, please follow the links below:

If a form is blank or contains all zeros, it does not have to be entered.

You might have a consolidated statement. That will have sections for 1099-Int and 1099-Div and 1099B. You need to enter each section in the right place.  So read it carefully and look for headings.... 1099-INT for interest or 1099-DIV for Dividends or 1099B for sales.
