The 2025 TurboTax Desktop 1099-R section in the 2025 is showing "Available soon" next to the Update button. When will it be available?
Thank you!

Have you tried using Forms View?
I didn't as I count on TurboTax to take me thru the process of entering the information. I don't want to screw the "program code." I am just running end of year estimates to determine if I need to pay more before the end of the year.
Thoughts?
You won't screw up anything if you use the worksheets and enterable forms in Forms Mode.
I have tried both guided method and straight to the 1099R form method.
Getting the message "This section will be ready soon".
Anyone know ETA?
I’ve seen Jan 21. I was able to enter my 1099R into the Forms mode.
I am now able to update one 1099-R by going into Forms Mode.
However my second 1099-R (second pension) did not carry over from 2024.
And I cannot figure out how to add a second 1099-R from while in Forms mode.
I went to Turbo Tax Help and it was no help.
Appreciate any help on how to add another 1099-R form while in Forms Mode.
Also any knowledge when Turbo Tax Easy Step will include retirement income steps.
Thank you.
@tpm-a1 Latest information on Form 1099-R availability in TurboTax is estimated to be on 01/21
To add another Form 1099-R in Forms mode -
Open the Form 1099-R you created
Scroll down the form to page 2 and in the box labeled Form 1099-R and Forms 1099-R Summary Smart Worksheet, on QuickZoom to another Form 1099-R click the QuickZoom box
In the Open Form window, click on the button labeled Add Form
Today is January 21, the date when estimates expected the 1099-R section to be available in TurboTax.
When I signed up for email updates for this section's availability, TurboTax signed me up for availability to Form 3903 (moving expenses), and then immediately emailed me that the Form 3903 section was available. Doesn't really address my issue.
I've reinstalled TurboTax, but the 1099-R section is still shown as "not yet available".
I haven't used the Forms entry method because I don't trust myself to get all of the details correct.
I'll try again tomorrow, but if anybody has an update to when this section will be available I would love to hear it.

Updates are typically released later in the day (afternoon or early evening). Try later today or tomorrow.
Looks like it's available now. Shows up for me on the website!

Maybe they updated the online versions before the desktop versions.
no its not ready by January 21st as was promised.
Said January 21st which is today an starts at midnight. Still not available!!! Never had this issue before being this late in January so must be the lack of competence on TT's side in getting this done. Been using TT for over 20 years and this will without a doubt be the last year. H&R probably.
H&R Block is in the same condition as TurboTax; the 1099-R section is NOT ready and won't be until H&R Block releases an update on Friday. There's really nothing to gain by going with H&R Block for this particular issue.
