No one can see your tax return or your information. You say "TurboTax did my taxes wrong" but offer no details as to what you think was done incorrectly. Did you use the help of a TurboTax "Live" expert----and was it from Live Assisted or Live Full Service? What do you mean by "at first" you were going to receive a refund but now you owe? Did the IRS change something and say that you owe? What did they change?
The lady i was on the phone was helping me because at first I was supposed to receive $5k after doing it correctly before entrusting an agent and received credits. However I accidentally did it as mail rather than electronically to my bank. The lady guided me but did an error making me click remove my son and I requested to start completely over so I can do it the right way and in the end put it as electronically not paper. Now I owe because of that error from that agent after she said it is "normal" "it says i owe $700+ but it'll send the $5k+ i was suppose to get and deduct the $700+ i owe" i said okay and filed and now I owe which is cruel!
You sound really confused. Your refund is not affected by whether you receive it as a mailed check or by direct deposit to your bank account. And you cannot both get a refund and owe on the same tax return. It is one or the other. When you look at your Form 1040----is there an amount on line 35a? Or is there an amount on line 37? Look at your tax return.
Print out your return and look at it:
I'm not confused tho, I relied on help what I did wrong so the lady guided me to not do it paper and again I entrusted listening to what she said to do since this is my 1st time doing my taxes on turbotax which I regret now since she messed it up causing me to owe taxes for the 1st tim.
You are avoiding answering the question of whether you see a refund amount on line 35a or a tax due amount on line 37. And you still have not said what you think was done "wrong"----why do you think getting a paper check in the mail is better than direct deposit---how do you think your refund was affected by that?
