I've thought about that and will do it as soon as I have enough time. That's what did on the Fed side but still wonder why it never came up when I went through the whole process. Will come back after the experiment.

Yes, you are correct. I eventually got a human at TT who said the same thing and she had the information on each state. It turns out California doesn't tax Social Security at all, surprise, surprise.
