Second home sale

Sold a second home in the state of VT and paid $13K to the state of VT as non-resident state tax.  As a full time resident in NYS, will I owe NYS taxes in sale of this second home located  in VT?

Second home sale

@Pschery  in general, your resident state taxes you on World income and will give you credit for taxes paid to another state.  So this sale/ transaction will require filing in both states ( Non-Resident state  and Resident State).

Does this make sense ?
