Upon updating installed software, the issue was resolved.
I'm using the TT website so I have no software to update. I tried deleting my SEP IRA contribution and then re-entering it but that didn't fix the problem.
Some people are saying theirs is working now but mine is not. It gives me error and says please check back after February 7th. I need to file now.

on the Check this Entry screen, I see a line that says S: Enter the amount attributable to ROTH SIMPLE
I put 0.00 in that box and I still get the Box 12 Code S highlighted in red
It is still not working. I still cannot transmit my return because of "S" in Box 12. This has not been resolved

What code did you use? Mine is a simple IRA and not a simple roth. I keep getting the error message.
I know mine has the latest update available and yet I still can't file.
I checked this morning and TT says I have latest updates, but I still can't get past the infamous "check back with us after Feb. 7" message. I've checked with friends who use competing products and they haven't had this problem and don't have to wait until after Feb. 7. Also, why would the IRS have begun accepting returns back on Jan. 29 if everything on their end wasn't already up to date ? Clearly this is SEP issue is a problem on TT's end. I realize this is likely futile, but considering all the trouble, I think the company should provide all of us affected by this error with refunds AND still efile our returns once they resolve the issue.
O’ e been told the update was coming on the 10th. Other fixes such as the 0 entry at the Roth Simple box has worked for some but hasn’t for me
I agree with the refund. I would have been expecting my refund by the end of this week had it not been for this TT misstep. We choose TT loyally year after year with very few issues, however I think this one should have been caught and fixed right away, so it would be a good gesture on their part to make this right. For all of us, that buy the product early and get right on our returns, we should be compensated.
Turbo tax still shows that box 12 is incorrect with the "s". This needs to be really fixed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Checked again today for software update and there is none. It has been 2 weeks since the original poster posted and this is still not fixed. I have used TurboTax for years. This is the first time I have had such an issue and it is ridiculous.
I have tried the fix some said worked for them but it did not for me.
Also, why does this question indicate it is solved when it is clearly NOT!
