Are my parents eligible for health insurance under conditions below?

Hi,

My parents will be coming to US and live with me. The situation is below. I am trying to list out everything as detail as possible.

• I will hire my parents as housekeeper and caregiver for me, as I do have serious mental health issues (I do have doctor notes and all) that occasionally hinders me doing basic house chores and take care of myself. I am employed full time and work from home.
• I plan to pay them $20,000-$25,000 a year.
• They will live together with me in the same house.
• This is their one and only main income, and they will not have any other sources of income.

My questions are:

• Will they be eligible to enroll in low-income health insurance?
• Do I need to split the payment in 2 parts for each of them? Like, my father will take care of fixing stuffs around the house, etc. and my mother will take care of cooking, grocery shopping. How do I fill out/take care of the paperwork for tax purposes?

If you are asking about government programs, they must be citizens or resident aliens,..... simply living here doesn't make them eligible.

Yes they have green card.

This is the user forum for income tax questions and questions about using the tax software.  We are not experts in helping with questions about health insurance.  If you are trying to find out about getting health insurance for your parents, you need to inquire with healthcare.gov or a health insurance provider.
