Assuming you are talking about 2025 taxes, for the withdrawal done in 2025......You will be issued a 1099-R form, usually in mid-late January of 2026 for that withdrawal.
You will enter the data from the various boxes in that 1099-R form, into the Retirement Income section of the software. The total amount of those distribution $$ (gross amount before withholding), and then also the withholding amount (along with various other boxes on that form) will be entered as a part of the data on that 1099-R form. Thus the withholding done will be credited as having been paid after you are done entering that form into the software.
How do you do it on the website not the software? Which one of these?
Not on that menu page
You are on the Deductions&Credits page
You would need to enter the 1099-R on an earlier tab page, on the Wages&Income page where you normally enter your W-2, interest, dividends etc. The retirement income is in that area.
BUT....at least in the desktop software, the 1099-R section wasn't ready to use yet. Maybe the "Online" entry areas are further along...maybe not, so you may not be able to enter that information yet anyhow.

And..(personal opinion) if you are on a phone app...please don't. Go use a browser on a larger tablet, laptop, or full computer. People using the phone app tend to miss all kinds of stuff because it's too hard to navigate to see all the possible choices in various areas of the program
I was using the phone just to take a picture. There is no retirement tab in the wages section. I’ll login and see.
I checked what's happening with the "Online" tax software later (that's what the phone "app" actually links to).
The 1099-R Retirement section isn't supposed to be ready until on/after 17 December ...but of course, could show up a week earlier....or later.

but...Picture of what? Your 1099-R form for that distribution? Those 1099-R forms for 2025 taxes rarely come out until late January (but I guess there could be exceptions). AND, if you are trying to enter a 2024 1099-R for $$ you removed in 2024?...those cannot be entered into the App/Online software now, since the software available "Online" right now, is only for 2025 taxes since the 2024 Online software has been shut down.
Not a picture of 1099-R. I wasn’t entering info from 2024. I withdrew amounts in 2025. I was asking where do I fill in the info and the picture was of the online site to understand where to enter the info come available. Why do you keep mentioning 1099-R. My original question didn’t mention a 1099-R. Thanks for the advice. I figured where to add the info.
Any distribution from a retirement plan will result in a 1099-R form being issued, when the tax forms are sent out every January. That's why I was talking about a 1099-R form.
Certainly, your withdrawal of those funds from your 457b may have resulted in the administrator sending you some type of withdrawal summary when the withdrawal happened........ BUT, the 1099-R form itself (not some earlier summary) will be the official form you will need to enter into the tax software after you receive it. The $$, numbers, and various checkboxes marked on that 1099-R form will need to be entered into the corresponding specifically numbered boxes on the software's 1099-R form.
Some administrators send out paper forms in the mail, but those folks who have signed up for a paperless option, have to log into their account to download those 1099-R forms. I get three different 1099-R forms each year. Two are paperless that I log into my accounts to download each year, and one will only mail out the 1099-R that I get from that provider.

But, like I said, the 1099-R form entry area isn't ready yet, so I don't know how you could enter that data if you are using the "Online" software or phone App. Do Not enter your 457b withholding in any area except on the actual software's 1099-R form entry area, once that section is up and running.
