Hey all, I purchased Turbo tax premiere via Amazon as it stated it included cryptocurrency with federal and state. I cannot find anywhere to add the csv file or the area to include cryptocurrency. I was asked if I purchased any cryptocurrency but that was it. I have looked over the federal section and explored this site extensively. Am i missing something, best I could find was a reference to Turbo tax online having the best interface.....someone HELP!!

You will find Cryptocurrency entry here:
It this section it is possible to download certain documents.
Under federal taxes I show Wages and income, deductions and credits, OTS, Fed review and Smart check. Under Investment income there is nothing pertaining to cryptocurrency.
This article also explains how to report cryptocurrency in Turbotax Premier.
Are you able to click on the magnifying glass / Search in the upper right hand corner of the screen and enter cryptocurrency. Click on jump to cryptocurrency.
I honestly feel like I'm losing my mind with TurboTax CD. The IRS is stressing how important it is to report crypto gains yet. NOthing has worked in this thread for me to locate crypto reporting. Jump to Crypto Currency under cryptocurrency? I couldn't find Jump to crypto either.
I wish turbo tax would SIMPLY have Crypto as a selection under investments like it supposedly does in the Live version.
Please help
thanks
Michael
This option does not exist in Premier CD
This is also missing from my TurboxTax Premiere 2020 even after all updates.
How to fix this or workaround it?
HI,
how can I file crypto taxes in desktop version?
In the income tab scroll down to the investment section to find the brand new crypto currency section ...
In the downloaded HOME & BUS version look in the PERSONAL TAB.
Sorry.
I am completely confused. I've just updated my download version of premier 2020 and the crypto tab is NOT on my copy. I looked under investments and personal.
If I could send you a screen shot, my current-most version of premier (download from amazon) does not include what you are showing.
Please convince me that I am wrong
@mmish71 You can import your transactions if they are in a TXF file format.
It's not you. I downloaded Premiere from Amazon and there is NO option for Crypto reporting. Talk about being behind the times...
Once uploading the .tfx file, are the short and long term transactions separated out? I don't think so. It seems I only have the option, in TT Premier, to assign all the transactions as short term OR long term.
Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Michael
