From the page in the screenshot below, you should be able to click edit for percentage owned. If not, revisit the entire section to review it.
I'm sorry but you apparently did not read my post, I did click on Edit at least 10 times and it never brought up the screen to Edit my ownership choice. So I need to reenter all my data? Just to get one simple change made! Sorry, but that seems ridiculous. For software that has so many users I wonder could it somehow be the browser (Mozilla) I'm using?
Also I don't understand how TT figures percentages. When I let TT calculate our 3 owner rental (33.3333% each) on a total amount for insurance of $1,115. I get $372. But TT gives an amount of $368.? Why?
@darbillw If you are unable to get to the edit screen then it very well could be your browser. You should also clear your cache and cookies - which means removing all of the temporary programs that can gum up your web browser.
Here is a link on how to clear your cache and cookies.
Otherwise this is not an error that I am able to reproduce. You are probably better off having someone walk through the return with you to look at your entries so I recommend getting live expert help.

However, that requires upgrading your product which may be an expense you don't want. In that case you can call an expert and ask questions over the phone.

Well I tried to Edit in Chrome, Mozilla and Edge...get the same result in each. Cannot Edit the ownership percentage, what is weird in that I can edit everything else on that screen. Going to try clearing cache and see if that helps which would amaze me!
Well I cleared everything in Mozilla, settings, privacy and security, Cookies and Site data and still I can't edit this one bit of data. I can Edit Real Estate professional and Owner Name data...but not the percentage. Something, maybe about the on-line version?
How do I change the ownership percentage for my Rental Property?
Understand that unless the property was converted to rental and/or placed in service in 2021, under no circumstances and with no exceptions do you change the ownership percentage of anything in the Assets/Depreciation section. If you do, then you will completely skew the depreciation history of those assets, and all depreciation taken for the current tax year will be wrong.
You need to start over and explain what event occurred that resulted in a change of ownership percentage in 2021, along with what your percentage changed from and what it changed to. It's the fine details that will determine the correct way to deal with this and report it in the TTX program.
The program asked initially how I wanted to enter my rental data, have Turbo Tax divide the amounts by 3 (myself and 2 siblings) or enter the data manually. In past years I just entered the numbers manually. This year, out of curiosity, I chose to allow Turbo Tax to do it, figuring I could always change the percentage back to enter the data manually if I wished. Well, for some reason on my return, TT does not divide by 3 correctly. In my math the insurance expense of $1,115, should be $372. each, not the $368. TT came up with. I understand about the depreciation side. There used to be 5 siblings involved, but death has changed that..
In past years I just entered the numbers manually.
I highly encourage that you continue to enter manually. When you elect to have the program do the splits for you, there are still things that it flat out can not and will not split automatically. As you have discovered for yourself, it creates even a bigger issue when you try to change from doing it manually, to letting the program do it automatically.
I will, but I use FreeTaxUSA...much easier to use. But my sister has to use Turbo Tax because of other issues. So I try to test TT to be sure it matches FreeTax. It always has, when we enter manually. It surprises me that Intuit has never fixed this issue.
