I realized that TurboTax software may be duplicating my rental income since it is reported as a 1099-MISC from our property management team and then I add the identical data to the Schedule E. Can anyone verify if I am paying taxes twice or not?
Can I add the customer service phone number for TurboTax will not let you speak to an actual person? I went through the whole system multiple times and since it did not recognize my email or phone number that have been the same for over a decade and have been used over a decade in my TurboTax/Intuit accounts, so it would just automatically hang up on me. This is extremely frustrating and unacceptable after all the money we have spent on TurboTax over the years and who also lobbies against flat tax laws to keep us dealing with their utter nonsense.

NEVER enter the same amount twice ... on the Sch E you will either enter the 1099 OR rent from other sources but not BOTH.
If you choose both options then READ the screen instructions carefully ....
The income on line 3 of the SCH E is the total rental income received from all sources; cash and 1099-MISC. If income is reported on a 1099-MISC, then do not include that income with that which you may report as cash. If all rental income is reported on a 1099-MISC, then you will not enter it a 2nd time anywhere else on your tax return.
