You can report it as miscellaneous income and use IRD (Income in Respect of a Decedent) as the description.

My advice is to enter the Pennsylvania (PA) withholding using the steps below for the K-1. Be sure to prepare your nonresident state (PA) return first.
Enter your PA state withholding following the steps below.
Sign into your TurboTax account - TurboTax Online/Mobile or TurboTax Desktop > Select Deductions and Credits
Scroll to Estimate and Other Taxes Paid > Show More arrow > Start/Revisit beside Income Taxes Paid >
Scroll to Other Income Taxes Paid in 2025
Continue to Start Withholding not already entered on a W-2 or 1099
Be sure to select PA when entering this state withholding.
Once you enter your K-1, carefully review each question in your PA nonresident tax return. The withholding will come over automatically after your entry above, be sure you enter the correct PA income when asked in this state interview.
As you may already know, North Carolina (NC) will tax you on all of your income as a resident. They will give you a credit for taxes paid to PA on the same income. The information below will explain the amount of credit to expect.
State Returns - Your resident state requires you to include all worldwide income. Assume both states require income tax returns to be filed:
Report the income on each state return that is from the nonresident state
Report it on your resident state and receive credit for taxes paid to another state.
Credit for taxes paid to another state is allowed by a resident state when the same income is being taxed to another state. Your resident state does not want you to pay tax twice on the same income. The credit that is allowed will be the lesser of:
the tax liability actually charged by the nonresident state, OR
the tax liability that would have been charged by your resident state
In most cases complete your nonresident state first. When in the NC return be sure to review the questions about 'Other state tax credit', prepared with the income and tax from the PA return just to be safe.

An error on my mother's 2022 Oregon state income tax return resulted in a refund plus interest being paid in January, 2025. Unfortunately, she passed away in 2023. Her 2023 tax turns and the estate's final 1041 was completed in 2024. The estate was completely distributed in 2024. The 2025 Form 1099-INT from the Oregon Department of Revenue is addressed to "Estate of (my mother)" and has her SSN as the Recipient's Identification Number. I assume I need to report this interest income on my personal tax return for 2025. However, I don't know how to enter it into the TurboTax Deluxe 2025 Windows desktop version. It's not my 1099, and I don't see an option for entering the interest income with a check-box that says "I did not receive a 1099 for this interest income". I could report it as miscellaneous income with a note. Please let me know the correct way to report this interest income. Thank you for your help.

It is automatic based on your age. It is not part of your Standard Deduction. The new Senior Deduction is separate and in addition to the Standard Deduction or your Itemized Deductions on 1040 line 12e. The 6,000/12,000 senior deduction will be calculated on 1040 Schedule 1-A page 2 Part V Enhanced Deduction for Seniors which goes to 1040 line 13b with any other sch 1-A amounts. Turbo Tax automatically includes it if you qualify. For Single the deduction starts to phase out at 75,000 and maxes out at 175,000 For Joint the deductions starts to phase out at 150,000 and maxes out at 250,000 If you are married you have to file a Joint return And your SSN must be VALID for employment. Do NOT check the box saying Not Valid under My Info.
For Online version You can preview the 1040 or print the whole return https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/accessing/help/how-do-i-preview-my-turbotax-online-return-before-filing/00/26160 What do you have on 1040 or 1040SR line 13b? See the 1040 ….

I'm trying to file for an extension for my 2025 federal taxes. Following the prompts I get a screen that says: It's time to sign and transmit your 2025 returns. And a button to "Transmit my returns now". The thing is, I'm filing an Extension, and not wanting to transmit my returns. Is that screen correct? It is very confusing.

@rejohanson IF you say Yes...then you have to get all your monthly records, and enter just the exact amounts that were withheld for each quarter during the year. And the "quarters" are 3mo, 2mo, 3mo and 4mo. (Jan, Feb, Mar) (Apr, May) (Jun, Jul, Aug) and (Sep, Oct, Nov, Dec) Though the last 4 mos may be automatically entered as whatever remains. (I haven't done it in awhile)

Thermo-Pride provides a Federal Tax Credit Certificate for every qualifying model they sell. It varies based on the item.
On the Thermo-Pride Energy Guide page, they provide instructions to look up the QMID on the AHRI Directory page, https://www.ahridirectory.org
"Locate the “Manufacturer” block (second row in the right-hand column) select “Thermo Products” from the drop down box. Note: You do not have to enter any other information for a list of all products or you can enter other search criteria if looking for a specific model.
Enter the unique code shown in the lower right-hand corner.
Click “Search” and you will see all the Thermo Products furnace listings.
Locate the model you want. If you double click on the specific model number, the AHRI Certificate of Product Ratings PDF appears at the bottom of the screen. Click on it to view the ratings certificate. For the Energy Guide label, double click on the Energy Guide logo on the far right-hand side for that specific model’s Energy Star label."

You can report Canadian RRIF distributions in TurboTax under Wages & Income Retirement Plans and Social Security Canadian Registered Pension Income. Enter the full form information in US Dollars Also, report the tax withheld under Deductions & Credits Estimates and Other Taxes Paid Foreign Taxes This will claim a foreign tax credit. I retrieved this from a previous user's question. I go through #5 having ~17K for income and $2500 in withheld. But when I finish entering it, my Federal Tax Due does not go down as I expect it to.

@crischking , you are correct that filing MFS when one spouse is NRA, is messy. Generally , because the software and IRS requires details of the "other" spouse, you would have to file by mail.
You prepare the return ( using TurboTax) as normal, use a fake SSN for the non-filing spouse. Then when all done choose "file by mail", print , date , sign and replace the "fake " SSN with " N R A" ( snowpake or otherwise ). Mail your return to the IRS center for your state.
Is there more I can do for you ?

It is likely that TurboTax has pre-populated a self-employment section based on data imported from last year or specific forms you already entered in other sections of the program.
If you had a Schedule C from a prior year, TurboTax adds it automatically to your 2025 return. Also, if you had a 1099-MISC or 1099-NEC that you entered, TurboTax may prompt you to link it to a Schedule C.

I've never had an issue with 1099-INT Box 3 flowing to VA as a subtraction, or seen issue with that in this forum so pls can you point to the threads you're referring to on this, or clarify this is what you are referring to. It should be hitting VA 760 Line 7. there is a general topic for Accrued Market Discount (AMD) on Treasury Notes reported on 1099B that gets reported on Schedule B but is not automatically reflected on state returns, but that's nothing to do with coupon interest (or T-Bills) which should be reported on 1099-INT Box 3.
