An error on Form 2210AI may happen when using the "Annualized Income Installment Method." It'll occur if data is missing or improperly calculated.
We can't see your return, but you can often clear the error by filling in the missing data.
When the "Check This Entry" message appears, the error is often for Line 16 or Part II
Click through until you find the input field with the error.
If the error is for yearly withholding, make sure all four columns (columns a, b, c, d) are filled out, even if you put $0 in some boxes.
If you still can't get it to work, put a "1" in the box that is showing an error. This sometimes forces the form to calculate, allowing you to pass the error check.
If this doesn't resolve the issue, contact us again with any additional details.

Vanessa A, Thank you so much, it took a while to find where to add that insurance premium but I found it! I am not sure how either, I think I got to it through the questions entering my 1099NEC from my part time job:) I was thinking I had to manually add it in a form not realizing there was a place to add it in the Easy Steps. I am grateful for your help. I understand and know I can not include it next year and made notes for my files. I make very little in my part time job. Without the govt subsidy, Health Ins costs more than double what I make in my little side job. Next year my premiums will be more than double what I make, so actually this helps me this year because next year I wont be able to declare it all for the self employed health ins deduction. Thank you again....this increased my refund $630

If the sale was reported on Form 1099-B, then enter it as if it were a stock sale. This requires a description, purchase date, sale date, purchase price, and proceeds from the sale. Form 1099-B may also show a category that will be entered to indicate whether the basis and the holding period were reported to the IRS that will also need to be entered.
If the sale was reported on another form, then enter it in the 'Other' category that shows second homes, land, and personal items as the examples. Using that section you can select 'Other' as the type of investment. Then enter the other details of the sale similar to the information needed for selling a stock.
Using either method will report the sale and any gain or loss on Schedule D.

this is hard to follow, it's probably easier to focus on Form 8606 are you doing the Roth conversion part of the backdoor? the basis should not be rolling and growing. if you're doing backdoor Roth you should have a non-deductible contribution and a Roth conversion (reported on 1099-R), the basis should be zero at the end of this assuming you have no other pre-tax earnings in your IRA and bring the Trad IRA balance to zero. There shouldn't be a rolling basis, unless you make the contribution after year-end for the prior tax year then all you report is the contribution which carries forward to the next year and the conversion is reported in that calendar year it's performed. the most common issue I've seen reported here is folks don't identify the 1099-R as a Roth conversion properly in the questions which follow the form entry. here are the steps for backdoor Roth in turbotax https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/retirement-benefits/enter-backdoor-roth-ira-conversion/L7gGPjKVY_US_en_US

Thank you so much for your quick reply, I truly appreciate the help, it took a few minutes to find where to add that insurance premium but I found it! I dont claim many, if any expenses, with my part time job, too afraid of the IRS:) Since health ins is so outrageous this is the one thing I do claim, my husband retired early so we do not qualify for medicare yet. I was thinking I had to manually add it in a form not realizing there was a place to add it in the Easy Steps. I am grateful for your help. I understand and know I can not include it next year. Do I use the 'amend my taxes' link and go past the federal and state?

Yes. Retirement benefits from the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) are considered federal government retirement benefits. See this USPS publication for more information.

good - skip it - costs $40 extra fee and routes your refund thru a third party bank which can cause delays and confusion. avoid all these refund gimmicks (5 days early, pay with refund etc)

Only the IRS and your State control when and if a Federal or State tax refund is Approved and Issued.
Once a tax return has been Accepted by the IRS or a State, TurboTax receives no further information concerning the tax return or the status of any tax refund.
If accepted by the IRS use the federal tax refund website to check the refund status - https://www.irs.gov/refunds
After the tax return has been Accepted by the IRS (meaning only that they received the return) it will be in the Processing mode until the tax refund has been Approved and then an Issue Date will be available on the IRS website.

The offer is for "Up to 5 days earlier", so that can be 1-5 days early. If you paid a $35 fee to get the "Up to 5 days early" refund offer deposited to your own bank account (as opposed to a Credit Karma Money account for no fee), then TurboTax says that if the refund doesn't come at least 1 day earlier than it would have if it had come directly from the IRS, the $35 will not be charged. If that happens, watch for any emails.
