But, I doubt that updates is really the problem. Information flows automatically from the worksheets to IRS form 8863.
For more specific help, explain what it is you are trying to accomplish.

You can get an Identity Protection pin here, or if you lost your IP PIN, you can go here to Retrieve IP PIN.
Here are two ways to navigate to the section to enter the 6 digit IP PIN:
Log in and open your return ("Take me to my return")
Once the return is open, then go to the Federal Taxes tab.
Subtab Other Tax Situations
Scroll down to Other Return Info.
Choose Identity Protection PIN and Start (or Revisit.)
Next screen asks: "Did you or any of your dependents get an IP PIN from the IRS for this year's taxes?"
Or another way:
Open your return if not already open. ("Take me to my return.")
Once the return is open, click at the top on MY ACCOUNT, then choose TOOLS.
In the Tools window choose TOPIC SEARCH.
Enter IP PIN without quotes.
In the selection list highlight IP PIN and click GO.
Next screen asks: "Did you or any of your dependents get an IP PIN from the IRS for this year's taxes?"

The IRS uses your prior year AGI to combat fraud. Make sure you take into account the information below.
You can find your 2024 Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) by:
Looking at line 11 on page 1 of your 2024 Form 1040
Requesting a transcript of your 2024 tax return from the IRS. You can request your transcript online at the following link: Get Transcript
Please click on this TurboTax article for more information.
Check these items as well to ensure you have the correct number. If you:
Filed late last year after mid-November or your return was processed after that time—try entering 0.
Amended your return last year—make sure you’re using the AGI from your original return, not the amended one. (If you only have a 1040X form, it’s on line 1, column A).
Rounded your AGI to the nearest dollar—be sure to round up when it’s 50 cents or more and down when it’s 49 cents or less.
Filed with your spouse last year—you and your spouse have the same 2024 AGI. (Don’t split the AGI amount or enter 0 for one of you).
Time-saving Tip: If what you entered is correct and you continue to get a reject, you won't be able to e-file. There's probably a data mismatch at the government, or some other situation beyond your control that prevents your return from being e-filed. In this case, your only option would be to print and mail in your return.
This article will give you instruction on how to print and mail your return.

I believe you mean you had to pay back excess premium tax credits of $9,238 and want to know where that shows as a deduction on your tax return. The repayment is not deductible so it will not appear as such on your tax return. You received a tax-free benefit by virtue of the premium tax credit that lowered your insurance premiums. When you pay a portion of that back, it is simply a reduction of the tax-free benefit you had in the first place, so it is not a taxable event.

It depends. Assist Premium is an add‑on that includes live expert help, and it’s one of TurboTax’s most expensive tiers. You may have realized you enabled it, because the interface sometimes nudges you into “Expert Assist” while answering tax questions.
You may have clicked something like “Get help” or “Talk to an expert” once, and the system automatically upgraded you.
Once you accept an upgrade, you cannot remove it unless you start a brand‑new return. To clear and start over, go to.
Tax tools
Tools
Clear and Start Over.
This will let you start out for free again. Be sure to steer clear of the "Get help" or "Talk to an Expert" suggestions throughout your return.

Report only what you actually received, for 2025. If you receive the rest in 2026, you report it when you file your 2026 tax return.
The 1098-T is only an informational document. The numbers on it are not required to be entered onto your tax return. However receipt of a 1098-T frequently means you are either eligible for a tuition credit or possibly your student has taxable scholarship income.
If you claim the tuition credit, you do need to report that you got one or that you qualify for an exception (the TurboTax interview will handle this)
You claim the tuition credit, or report scholarship income, based on your own financial records, not the 1098-T. In the 1098-T screen, click on the link "What if this is not what I paid the school" underneath box 1. You will then be able to enter the actual amounts paid. You will also reach a screen that allows you to adjust the scholarship amount for "amounts not awarded for 2025 expenses".
Or if you find it easier, just change the numbers in boxes 1& 5 to what your records show. The 1098-T that you enter in TT is not sent to the IRS.

Since I had multiple bank accounts and themoney had to be transferred between them for other reasons - the FBAR significantly over inflates real amount - but there is no place for comments -
