Very sorry to hear about your issues---but neither the IRS nor TurboTax is offering loans.

TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer.  “21 days”  is not a promise from TurboTax or the IRS.      First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:  https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/   Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control.  TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.     You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 35a of your 2025 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:    https://www.irs.gov/refunds   To track your state refund:     https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/track-state-refund/L3jgO8PGs_US_en_US?uid=lt447ebr   If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing     https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/refunds-take-longer-others/L14YlqFrH_US_en_US?uid=lexdr7zh . https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/irs-refund-taking-longer-21-days/L2vRAJbdU_US_en_US?uid=lexe7lst         If you are getting earned income credit on line 27 or additional child tax credit on line 28 You are subject to the delay required by the PATH act.  Do not expect your refund before early March   https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/internal-revenue-service/federal-refunds-delayed-due-path-act/L5jnQJsBi_US_en_US   Note:  “Accepted” is not the same as “approved”.  TurboTax tells you the e-file was accepted if the IRS deems that there is enough information on the return for them to take it in for processing.   Only the IRS can approve of the refund, which is a later stage of processing.  If the IRS approves your refund they will provide a date for the refund to be issued.   FROM THE IRS WHERE’S MY REFUND SITE: https://www.irs.gov/wheres-my-refund How it works Where's My Refund shows your refund status: Return Received – We received your return and are processing it. Refund Approved – We approved your refund and are preparing to issue it by the date shown. Refund Sent – We sent the refund to your bank or to you in the mail. It may take 5 days for it to show in your bank account or several weeks for your check to arrive in the mail.

The screen where you enter Form 1099-C in TurboTax says the following. "Important info about your canceled debt... In some situations, canceled debt can be excluded from taxable income. These situations might include bankruptcy or insolvency. If you think one of these exclusions apply to you, we recommend you have a tax pro review your situation." As DaveF1006 said, if you use the TurboTax Desktop software, you can complete Form 982 and the Statement of Insolvency in forms mode, but there is essentially no help or guidance. You have to know what you're doing. That's why consulting a tax professional is recommended.
The formula is Overtime Premium=Overtime Hours×(Hourly Rate×0.5). So, hypothetically, if you are paid $20 per hour, your overtime premium = 560.5 X $20 X .5 =$5605.

Just to add to my last message.    I had followed your instructions, deleted the state returns, and re-did CA state return and changed resident information.    It seemed when I filled in the last 2 lines of information (Form 540NR line line 32 and 35, see picture in my last message)  the erroneous number of 5217 will show up on Line 18 of Form 3800. My parents filled Form 540, not 540NR.   When I removed the last 2 lines of information, Form 3800 Line 18 drops significantly. So there seems to be something not right in calculating Line 18 of Form 3800.   Thanks.

The peoples worksheet is a new worksheet and does not affect anything with the Lifetime Learning Credit.  You can ignore that sheet.    Do you see form 8863?   However, the Student Info sheet should populate if you qualify for an education credit.   Do you qualify? Do you have a tax liability still on line 18 or 24?   Did you answer all of the questions accurately? Is your income too high?  Lifetime Learning Credit You can take this for an unlimited number of years Twenty percent of expenses up to $2,000 that are paid directly to the school Non-Refundable meaning this can reduce the amount of taxes you owe, but if your tax liability is less than the LLC, your tax will be reduced to $0 and the rest of the credit is lost.  Cannot be claimed as a dependent on any one else's return (if you are claimed as a dependent the person claiming you may be able to claim the credit) Be enrolled for at least one academic period beginning in the tax year. Academic Period can be semesters, trimesters, quarters, or any other period of study such as a summer school session. The school determines academic periods. For schools that use clock or credit hours and do not have academic terms, the payment period may be treated as an academic period. Be enrolled or taking courses at an eligible educational institution. Be taking higher education course or courses to get a degree or other recognized education credential or to get or improve job skills. To claim the full credit, your modified adjusted gross income (MAGI) must be $80,000 or less ($160,000 or less for married filing jointly). You receive a reduced amount of the credit if your MAGI is over $80,000 but less than $90,000 (over $160,000 but less than $180,000 for married filing jointly). You cannot claim the credit if your MAGI is over $90,000 ($180,000 for joint filers). You cannot be Married Filing Separately

Yes, if you reported a casualty loss in 2024, you can amend your 2025 to report the reimbursement of your loss.

Try using 123 Main St for the address. Do not change the city, state, or zip, just the address.

You can delete the car and truck worksheet for the vehicle and then re-enter it and report the sale again. Before you do that, make a note of the date put into service, the cost, accumulated depreciation and the amount of any special depreciation on the vehicle so you will have the information necessary to re-enter the vehicle.   Follow these instructions:   1. Choose the Tax Tools option on your left menu bar while working on your return 2. Choose Tools 3. Choose the Delete a form option under Other Helpful links  4. Find the applicable Car and Truck Worksheet in the list and delete it

You can't enter this in TurboTax online because it does not include the insolvency worksheet directly in the interview. You would need to switch to a Desktop program to generate Form 982.    In TurboTax Desktop, open the Forms Mode.   Go to Forms Search for Form 982 Check the box for “Discharge of indebtedness to the extent insolvent” Fill out the Insolvency Worksheet (lists assets vs. liabilities at the moment before the debt was canceled) If you are interested in switching to the Desktop product, read this TurboTax article for complete instructions on how to do this.
What do you have in the state id number box? If there is no state id listed, leave the box completely empty including spaces.
